| Posted: | | | | Title pretty much says it. I'm not talking about blind buys here, but movies you had already seen and didn't like, but then bought anyway for some reason. What possessed you to do such a thing? |

| Posted: | | | | Sometimes, I'll see a movie I didn't really like... but it's a movie which I'll have an inkling that I'll enjoy it more on repeat viewings. Sometimes if the price is cheap enough, I'll buy those movies just to prove that experiment. I'm usually right too, and repeat viewings do grow such movies on me.
And then sometimes (more rarely) I'll buy a movie just because there's an actress/actor I like. But that's usually only if the movie is dirt cheap... and the movie wasn't "completely" terrible. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | In my case Alien Resurrection (twice) and X-men: The Last Stand because they were in sets with some good movies and Terminator Salvation and 3 because I feel wrong owning a partial series.
Also notable, Showgirls (3 times) because I like Paul Verhoeven and know a lot of his movies are misunderstood and keep harboring a hope that if I watch it enough times, eventually I will "get it" and it will become a good movie. |

| Posted: | | | | The Fifth Element - I didn't think much of it when I saw it, but I liked one scene and felt that maybe I haven't given it a fair chance, since I saw it at a party. So I bought it to eventually watch it again and see if it's better in a different context.
Several Tarzan films, including the 1981 film with Bo Derek. I watched every Tarzan film ever made for a large project for my first masters degree. Though I got a decent grade on it, I wasn't completely happy with the result, so I have this idea of revisiting the project eventually. Anyway, there are some pretty terrible Tarzan films (especially in the 50's through the 70's) but if I see a Tarzan film on DVD somewhere that I don't have, I'll pick it up, even if it's one of the stinkers. Incidentally, while the 1981 film is terrible, it's not the worst. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | bought... no. but there were some that I didn't like so gave away... only to find another copy given to me when a friend gave me a box of free dvds. But that is ok... there have been times I didn't like it the first time around... but found it better then I originally thought on a second viewing. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Well yes. I bought Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me because I want everything by David Lynch. And you never know, I might change my mind... And also no doubt several sequels from various box sets. Not to mention the entire Star Wars prequel trilogy. Why? I don't know. It's Star Wars. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | Harry Potter. Saw on TV. Bought it in case a guest would watch it, but still haven't managed to finish it myself, since.
Alien Trilogy Box Set, after seeing a couple of them. Disgusting monsters. But Sigourney Weaver ... worth it to see her in action. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

It is about redemption. I know you know this but keep telling yourself that every time something messed up happens in the movie and it will all make sense when she gets in the truck at the end. |
