Headshots are not related to a movie, they are always related to the person in the database, so it cannot be that: for example Brad Pitt has a different or wrong picture in 12 monkeys and the correct one in Mr and Mrs Smith. This is not possible. There is only one headshot for Brad Pitt.
It is a little more complicated. You can use one headshot for an actor, that will be used for all movies in which he performed. But you can also have one headshot per actor/per movie. For example, I have 33 movies with Nicole Kidman, and 33 headshots, each matching the movie. For that, you have to use "paste custom" instead of "paste" when you add a new headshot. The problem is to share those different photos of the same actor since no easy system can allow this. But I can imagine a zip file of "Die Hard", for example, with custom headshots of actors playing in this movie. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | This is just pictures, I don't drop DB's I have this unique black cloud that forms when I mess with DB's
I upload zip files with headshots names for the actors for one of the more adventurous to add to a DB file.

When you update a headshot, add it to the Headshots profile (for crew, just use director for every member, don't loose your time by selecting the correct role).
When you are done. Make a full backup of your database.
Create a new database, called HMDB.
Open the new database, and perform a restore with the following options: Select "Restore Specific Profiles" and select only the Headshots profile. Deselect "Replace Full User Database"
Perform a database repair with the following options: Select "Custom" Deselect "Preserve cast/crew with images"
This will remove all castmembers except those attached to the Headshots profile.
Now perform a database backup and select only "Include cast/crew databases, with photos". Would the following also work? | Posted: | | | | First, let me say, I love headshots, but...
I hate to be a party pooper, but every time I update them, I keep getting unneeded BYs and it takes months to get it straightened out, so until the BYs are not included with headshots or Invelos allows us to stop them being imported with headshots, I will no longer use them. This is a shame.
This is just a warning for those who aren't aware of the bad usage of BYs. If they don't bother you, then keep using the headshots because it's the best source out there. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
