| Posted: | | | | I have not watched a movie on TV since I bought my HDTV two years ago. I'll occasionally settle for Animal Planet or National Geographic, but that's it. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I virtually never stop on a movie that I have. I do watch stuff that I would likely never buy, and sometimes quite enjoy the watch. What ticks me off is when my kids are visiting, and they start watching something on TV that I have. I'll say to them: I have that one, why not watch the DVD? They just ignore me and continue watching the commercial interrupted movie. I think they do it to just to annoy me. | | | Graham |

| Posted: | | | | I do this a lot. I will watch until I hit the first commercial, then remember, "Hey, I have this on DVD. Why am I watching commercials?" I then pop it in my player and start from the beginning. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

I know it doesn't make sense when I could pull the disc and watch it all, but sometimes I'm just trying to kill some time before I have to do the thing on my agenda. Another "Down Periscope" fan! I love this one! | | | Just in from somewhere left of the middle of nowhere The Holy See Hell |

I then pop it in my player and start from the beginning. I just recently did this with "The Hallelujah Trail". It was on a non-commercial station. I switched to dvd because, as usual (except for TCM), it wasn't in widescreen. I don't like to watch a movie with commercials if we have the disc. The same if it's a pan/scan of a widescreen movie. | | | Just in from somewhere left of the middle of nowhere The Holy See Hell |

Another "Down Periscope" fan! I love this one! Yeah, I'm a sucker for chic flics and feel goods. I should mention, I only do this for movies on the premium HD movie channels, i.e., no commercials or edits and widescreen. I can't stand editing out the language, etc., it completely changes the intended movie experience. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
