holding down the aLT KEY OR CNT does not do anything at all.. but I am able to physically go into the tab above on top:  tools / view plugins  and Uncheck the plugins ..,    still won't work..  (If this is the remedy for restore with plugins in the way )

I have my data base on three Hard drives ..  One laptop/ One PC with Win xp  and the same PC with win 10 ..

all three will not restore the .dpb  from a saved backup within a named  folder ..
whether I navigate to this folder  or transfer to a  flashdrive  - for the laptop.,  all three 'show out of stream'  errors after about 15+  odd minutes ..  ]

I've even tried safemode thinking that a program running is in the way ..  same error problem .

The ONLY way to restore my backups is from the cloud base invelos backups that is  stored and kept under my account .
the only other way I have not tried yet is to 'drag and drop'  but to where??  the exact folder under my documents to drag that saved .dpb  might be an option ..

But surely  ( and don't call me Shirley) .. I can't be the ONLY one with this problem I've had this problem for years .. and have almost always had to depend on the uploaded data reversed to restoe my data and then everything is always in its place including history and assignment  display  itis the Rear jacket cover I need to save .. plus I have soem home  made titles  that don't have the correct upc if any to find that art work ..

backing up the .dpb to a stick or to a hard drive is ''never the problem''  it is the restoring of that file which is the problem to windows 10  but not  windows XP ...

Are you running DVD Profiler as administrator?  If not, give that a try.

---------------

I would try that.,  but am not given the option to run as administrator  it just runs ....

even run as administrator still doesn't work ..  The only way I have found in the  past three + years to add the entire saved backup ( .dpb) is to have a fresh harddrive  ( format )  and then start from scratch  with adding new Profiler program . .then  restoring the backup ...  that has always worked ...

But to find and add to existing .dpb  on two seperate running windows platforms  always brings up the ''steam problem' ..

my cloud backup has about 95%  (or so)  of my saved jacket art from the cloud -  not all  but most .

Even if I want to retore only one scan cover and uncheck all the others  it still gets stuck at 25%  until it runs out of steam ..

Interesting that downloading the entire collection from the Invelos cloud works great ,, but the .dpb  does not .. what would the cloud backup entail over your overall backup base on the extension values?

I was able to 'restore'  the entire profiler program  by opening up both dvdprofilers in my file explorer while in windows XP.,  One being windows XP  on harddrive D  and opening up dvdprofiler from harddrive C
(windows 10)  .. deleting all 9 yellow folders in win 10  and then dragging and dropping the same 9 folders from windows XP to the same area .. this process of pasting  only took maybe 7 to 10 minutes compared to the old way of 15 plus with error messages ..    I now have the exact same library with scans and data query on two hardrives ..

hooray !!

again .. ,, I have had a lot of trouble trying to restore a .dbp from my Hard drive .. kept getting
the message ( stuck at 25%  until it)  runs out of 'steam'  ??

any way  the fastest way I found which I will be using from now on is to restore in "Safemode"  with Windows .. 10  ..

I backup DVDP on one Windows 10 PC and restore it to DVDP on both a Windows 7 PC and a Windows 10 PC on a regular basis, and never have any problem.

I have no idea what's going on with your computer.

been having problems with backups up to either xp  or win 10  for a number of years ..
even when I get fed up and decide to restore from the cloud  they all come  but with scans !!  all art covers are missing ..  both  legitimate  and home made covers .. so .dbp is definitely  the way to go ..

But I don't know what it is with my drivers within  that don't cooperate in allowing this ..

safemode shuts all that down...  and I believe the install was 40%  quicker too...!
