| Posted: | | | | Tip for Netflix Users:
I just set up a custom collection for viewing Netflix TV Series - Battlestar Gallactica.
- Downloaded a Netflix logo and converted to 32x32 and 16x16 icons. I might include these in the next release as a convenience. - Added profiles for Razor and each season (Child profiles with ":Disc xxx" are not needed) - Using BulkEdit, deleted all the discs from the "for Netflix viewing only" profiles. - Adjusted the titles to get the best Netflix match. In some cases I had to change "Two" to "2", or vice-versa.The Blu-Ray profiles seem to work best. When LoadDVD recognizes that an instant movie is available, you will notice a slight change in the Netflix play icon - there will be a thin black border along the left side. - Locked the profiles
Then I moved all the view-only profiles into the Netflix collection. These profiles are not part of owned.
Now when I want to watch an episode, I just click on the profile, click the Netflix icon and enjoy. This worked so well, that I plan to do some more - next is Heros. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | LoadDVD Pro V2.06 Available- Added Netflix icon to the Plugins\LoadDVD folder for your convenience. - Improved the MediaPlayer Slideshow from Displayed DVD Cast/Crew The Slideshow function has always been there, but I recently learned some stuff in this thread that allowed me to improve the "From Displayed DVD ..." feature. What this feature does is (only for matches found within cast / crew of displayed profile): - Scan the ProfielID folder under ScenePhotos and CreditPhotos for images (new in 2.06) - Scan the DVD Profiler Documents folder for images that are contained in folders, where folder names match the following rules (rules changed from previous): Lastname_Firstname_ Lastname_Firstname_Middlename Lastname_Firstname_Middlename_BY Lastname_Firstname__BY _Firstname_ _Firstname_BY The images contained in the folders can have any name. To hande aliases, just make a folder with any aliases you want to handle, and to save space, I will parse the shortcuts to included images. The shortcuts can have any name - my code extracts the link from the internal properties of the shortcut. All the images found are added to the MediaPlayer playlist and a repeating slideshow is started. This means that you can take advantage of existing images, and you can also now add new folders full of images that are automatically recognized across all DVDs when a match on cast / crew name is found, instead of adding headshots to individual profiles. As usual, any previous customer can download the update for free. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Would like to know if this plug in will allow me to select a movie through DVD Profiler IOS on my iPad and play it through the Sony BDP-CX7000ES 400 disc blu-ray changer? Would I be able to do this without having my computer on? Since moving from MyMovies to DVD Profiler, I'm loving the the IOS interface and would love to use it direcly with the changer to select and play a disc
Please advise |

| Posted: | | | | I had some Feature request for DVD profiler and didn't find my old thread, but now, I hope to write in correct thread and you can help me.
First, my two threads: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=544261 http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=501451&messageID=1432846#M1432846
Doesn't work: I fill fields like this: Location: test.avi Notes: [filepath]c:\test.avi[/filepath] Then, I click on your Toolbar or in the rightclick-Menu on the film. Nothing happened. I've also tested it without the [filepath] tag. But same problem.
Uncomfortable: You use some fields of DVD Profiler. Can you add own fields? It would be more comfortable if I can click on a "browse..."-button to select the movie. | | | Last edited: by tobias1985 |

Thanks for your several posts. Now finally I can conclude that the problem is most likely due to a language issue. I am aware that you must know that somehow the program DOES work for many people - so why not for you?
Your mistake is that in the Location field, the WORD "file" must be there - NOT the filename. This is a common mistake - I'm just sorry that it has taken so long to discover this in your case. When you fix that, you will suddenly find that all of the many examples (that I spent many hours writing) make sense - and when you re-read them, they do work, and you will be jumping for joy and happiness when you see your movies pop up so easily. It is a waste of time to try undocumented things because there are so many examples of exactly how to do it.
Now for the uncomfortable areas:
(1) The fields I use in DVD Profiler are actually designed to be used as seen fit by the user. In this case: You and Me. What would be the difference in convenience to have other fields? DVDP saves all of this information in the database, in the XML, in HTML sections, in database backups - all very convenient and necessary. Why would you want a separate database to worry about?
(2) You want to go back to 1940? Most people prefer to click on icons and pictures. But if you prefer to browse, you can do that by using the Title search field of DVDP, then click the LoadDVD icon.
It has happend so many times. I predict your next post will be: Wow, I'm so happy - it's great. But if not, we will try again to help you. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Mistake: You're right. I didn't know that I must write the WORD "file" in the field. ;-) It works now. ;-) (1) You misuse these fields for your plugin. I don't know the Plugin-API of DVD Profiler. So I don't know, that you can't add own fields. ;-) (2) I think, you missunderstand me. To open the video-file, your icon-bar or rightclick-menu is ok. But to configure the file to open, it is unconfortable. There would be a browse button excellent. ;-) So, click on a "browse..." button. Then, select the video-file. An so, your plugin insert the path in the "notes"-field and the word "file" in the location field. I hope, you understand what I mean. ;-) If this was the solution, I didn't make the mistake with the "file"-word. ;-) But you're right. I'm happy now, that this function works and thanks for your work. But I wonder, that this essential function is not included in DVD profiler basically. |

I had an idea for something like that, but your way is easy and clean. Thanks, I will put on the list for the future! Edit: By the way, since you are using Pro, the feature you suggest is almost there. You can "Add File" to the playlist, then Append Checked Item to Notes. This takes two steps and does not put the word "file", but maybe you can use it for the browse function and formatting of the filepath in Notes. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | As in the last post, LoadDVD has benefitted from many suggestions from users. There are many ways to do the same thing, to suit different styles.
Here are some other ways to play a file:
(1) Use the WORD "play" in the location field. This will call a script called PlayFromDisk.bat, where you can write your own script to do anything you want. LoadDVD passes information about the DVD to the script.
(2) Use the new Automation feature and put something like "[PLY] \\server\movies\mymovie.avi " (no quotes) into the Location field. Or you can even put something like "[PLY] \\server\movies\%title%.avi". In this case the filename is related to the DVD title. LoadDVD converts the %title% to the DVD title from the Profile.
(3) One user came up with an amazing method that requires NO changes to the database fields. In LoadDVD options, set Default Changer to "none" and set the Default Open Path to something like: \\server\movies\%title%.avi. If your filename has a relationship to the DVD Profile, LoadDVD will put that information. Read the documentation. You can use %sorttitle% and serveral other DVD fields in the filepath to be automatically substituted. Now THAT is easy! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I've set the default changer to none, and put H:\-DVDs\Physical Files\%title%.iso into the default open path in LoadDVD options. Is there something I'm missing? |

Is there something I'm missing? No, it should work in all versions. Can you give me some clues? Any messages, or anything more definitive than "didn't work?" What is that "-" in the filepath? Are both location and slot empty? Is the title a valid filename? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
