I have nothing planned, but if you have any suggestion ...

Well, now that you have asked, see here.  (Corrected bad link.)

Yeah, my first thought was "That shouldn't be impossible", but then I couldn't find where the cast photos are stored. I thought it would be in C:\Users\[User]\Documents\DVD Profiler\CreditPhotos, but I don't have anything in that folder, even though I do have some cast photos. Looked everywhere I could think of, but no luck. They must be stored some place

I believe cast and crew photos are stored in the database. This post by Ken would seem to confirm that.

From the version 3.5.0 release notes "Reports (and the new custom collection list view) can now display cast and crew photos". Don't know if that is of help or not.

Well of course a plugin can get to virtually everything. My plugin LoadDVD Pro has a slideshow function that uses those APIs. I'm not sure what DJ Doena's Cast / Crew Edit tools do.

I recall messing around with a head shots tool quite a while back and distinctly remember being told that such a tool was not needed. But that was then, maybe things have changed. I would have no time to reopen that can, but if I can find the code, I would certainly make it available to anyone authorized as a developer for use as hints for how to use the plugin API.

And do I recall correctly that one of Mark Harrison's tools has some head shot viewing features?
Thanks for your support.

So it sounds like it's not easily done "from the outside" (i.e. not through an actual plugin).

They are stored in the file databases/"nameofcollection"/actors.BLB.
I think that to extract them, it is necessary to know how they are coded in this file. It would be very useful to be able to extract them in a folder, to work easily on them with an images program such as ACDsee or XnView...

Yeah, odd design choice to encode them and put them in the database.

Apparently you can, with the CCV plugin.

I have not found how to do that. CCV takes its data in xlm export file that does not contain headshots data. And actors.blb file cannot be imported in CCV.

Make sure you have installed the CCV Plugin. The last option in the plugin's menu is Export Headshots. The plugin will be under the DVD Profiler Tools menu. Be aware, it will only export the headshot if the associated cast or crew member is assigned to a profile.
