Sounds like you need to re-locate. I can support a family of 2 in southern MN on $20/hour.

This "software" can be written from anywhere. I hear they can get away with $2/hour in India/China.

I can only agree with "deadserious": I am very disappointed that there isn´t any smartphone support for about a year after the first feature requests. There isn´t even a statement from ken if he is planning to implement this support...
At the moment i can not see any usefull further development

There are many programs out there that do not work without a touchscreen, I would hazard a guess that there are far more than those that work without touchscreen.  To dismiss the product because it doesn't and to dismiss any "usefull further development" sounds like (and no offense intended) someone throwing a fit.

I know it is expensive in California but $75.00/hr is more than 3 times what I make here is Indiana.  Give me $75.00/hr and watch how well I live.

Being single makes a large difference in how well you can live based on a certain income.

Yes I agree, I have two kids living with me. My son is going to college next year.

$75.00/hr in California is about $37.00/hr here in Indiana.

I don't think the main issue is the stylus; converting DVDPM to use the D-pad would probably not be difficult.

But, as it stands, the lowest resolution supported is 240 x 320 and that's very information-dense. Smartphones tend to run at 176 x 220 (Blackjacks are 240 x 240, but they're an exception), and it would require a complete root-and-branch redesign of the interface to be able to support such a screen size. It's not a matter of rearranging the current information, but of building a completely new flow with new screens at every stage.

It's not as easy is simply not requiring the stylus, certainly.

I too would like Smartphone support. I just purchsed a Dopod 595 with Windows Mobile 5 and thought DVDProfiler Mobile would run...silly me.

I don't want to be lugging a Pocket Pc and a Mobile phone in my pockets, defeats the purpose!!

Plese make DVDProfiler Mobile smartphone complatable, please!!!

I would even pay for a "DVDProfile Smartphone" editon on top of what i have paid, i want it that much. I'm sure others would too.

That would be ideal, but even just throwing on scrollbars would allow the app to work, if not especially pretty.  Oh, and turn off the bit that forces the soft input to come up.

As an aside, I use DVDPM with my Treo 750, which runs WM6 Pro; 240x240, and the main issues I have are the damn soft keyboard is forced on, and there's a few screens that don't scroll nicely.
