Hi everyone,

It has been quite some time since I last posted and visited. It seems that a lot has changed since then.

I have a question.
I am trying to determine the number of discs I have in my collection.
I took a subset, to determine if the numbers are correct, so I looked at the boxsets / movies I have in 4K.
12 movies / sets / series, these should hold no more (after a simple manual count) than 26 discs. The report says there are 35 discs in my collection.

I think the database is not as well managed as it was?
Is there a report I can run that exports all discs (incl. type) per movie / tv show / boxset to check where the issues are?

Thank you!

What report are you looking at that shows the number of discs?

I don't know if there is any way to just get the total number of discs (unless you start fiddling with "count as" in the profiles), but ProfilerQuery can get you close:

The steps you need are:
- Export your collection to an XML file.
- Load it in ProfilerQuery.
- Add "Number of Discs" as a field in the Presentation tab.
- Leave Main Selection empty (selects all profiles)
- Run, and group the result on "Number of Discs"

That just leaves a little calculation. So in the example that would be 1x342 + 2x29 = 400 discs.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I had to fire up the computer after I got home from work.

Tools > Charts & Graphs... > Media Type (Totals: “Count As”, Sort by: Totals, Count HD Combos As: HD)

In any which way it’ll tell me I have 35 4KUHD discs... which is incorrect.
Therefore the numbers given for Blu-ray or DVD seem not trustworthy either?

I’ll look into your proposed solution this weekend, I’ll need some time for that.

Well, that reflects the "Count As" field in the profiles. You can use that however you want. If you actually set it to the number of discs in each profile, then the report will show the total number of discs.

Bu the way, the solution I showed would give you the total number of discs. To get separate counts for DVD, Blu-ray and UHD the easiest solution would be to run it once for each media type. Just select Media Type in the Main Selection:

Result will remain same, I think that certain sets have incorrect, or too many discs, linked to them, for whatever reason.

Thank you!
