Hey all, new to this forum but have been using dvdprofiler for quite a bit now, but never delved into some of the more advanced features or sort options.

Anyway, I've been trying to organize/rescan in my collection by utilizing the collection category option, but it appears there's a limit of 10 customs? Is there a way to increase this amount? I've been using tags to keep track in the meantime, but the collection category has been most helpful so that I can scan my movies in by genre/association while unpacking boxes. I've been better able to come up with display strategy in addition to ridding any dupes along the way. Tags are kinda just an extra step to cataloging/filtering so I'd prefer to expand the custom category limit if it's a possibility.

Any info, solution, or input would be greatly appreciated!

The Release Notes for v3.6.0 say:
"Create up to ten custom collection categories, with a selectable image and data tracking."

So I'm afraid that it is 'working as intended".

As a point of information, I looked at the internal API and noticed that the collection type is stored as an integer. So I tested setting the integer to some big number, and nothing crashed. The API even returned the number back temporarily. But eventually, the API to get the collection type reverted back to the default. If the integer had "stuck" in the database, we could have written a plugin or used HTTPJolie to enable an external tool to support more categories.

I mention it because you never know when we might get lucky and such an approach allows us to get a new feature we previously thought was impossible. So keep the idea tucked away for the future.
Thanks for your support.
