Not DVD related but... Blizzard was expected to make a "big announcement" at the show in Korea and to everyone's delight it was what everyone was hoping for... Starcraft 2!

Ive never played the first one, but i like RTS games a lot. So few questions, is this game "in space"? ...and what scale of maps should be expected? The only thing i didnt like on C&C games, was the very small maps...

StarCraft was the only RTS I truly liked. Needless to say I'm VERY excited, even though there won't be dragoons anymore :o. From the look of things they kept the fixed isometric viewpoint, instead of going for one of those crappy free cameras. Free camera really means: Lots of wasted time due to camera adjustments.

I read somewhere about 6-9 months ago that the graphics  "engine" behind Starcraft 2 was based on the same used for Warcraft 3.  If thats the case - then you can change the viewing angle as you play.  If it does mimic that of W3 - then bring it on - i enjoyed the original starcraft and its expansion pack - Brood War....
