| Posted: | | | | I have this profile in locality Netherlands with "Cube²" as title, which IMHO is incorrect as the cover and IMDB clearly say "Cube 2". Also, most other localities also have "Cube 2". Yet, when I submitted the correction, it was declined without any votes. Now, when I look at the Contribution Rules, there seems to be an anomaly there. The rules say the title must come from the movie credits ?! Surely this can't be correct, right ? Why else would we need the 'Original Title'. There are tons of examples where the title is a slightly different title due to the DVD release. E.g. "There's Something More about Mary" just to give an example from the rules itself. So I'm a bit confused now wrt titles, and with Cube 2 in particular. |

| Posted: | | | | Does it search also using the original title? If so, it can say Cube 2 and still come up in a search... |

| Posted: | | | | If the title in the film's credits is Cube 2 then that is what it should be according to the contribution rules. Using special characters in the title field will make it impossible to search for. Take Déjà Vu for instance. Typing Deja Vu in the title search field results in 0 returns. Since you can't copy & paste anything into the search field you would have to know the ansii code for the special character you need in order to search for the title. In order to search for Déjà Vu I'd have to type in D Alt+130 to get Dé. Talk about a pain in the ass . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | First look at the name of the film in the credits. If it matches the cover of the DVD then you type it into the "Title" field. If the name of the film does not match the DVD cover (diff. language etc.), then you type the title of the DVD in the "Title" field, and the title from the credits into "Original Title". So if you look at your Cube 2 DVD - If it says "Cube 2" in the credits and on the cover, then the Title is "Cube 2". No original title. If it says "Cube²" in the credits and on the cover, then the title is "Cube²". No original title. If it says "Cube²" in the credits and "Cube 2" on the cover, then the title is "Cube 2", the original title is "Cube²" If it says "Cube 2" in the credits and "Cube²" on the cover, then the title is "Cube²", the original title is "Cube 2" Phew! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | If the cover says Cube 2, and the title screen says Cube², it should be entered as follows:
Title: Cube 2 Original Title: Cube² | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |

I've just done some tests, and in the filters window, if you search by title, then it checks both the title and original title fields, but not the sort title. |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, movie titles are indeed Cube² which was not filled in in the Original Title field. Guess that's why it was declined. Thanks all for the help! |
