| Posted: | | | | Today i used "Add by Title" to add some profiles from the database. They are to be added as child profiles to a box set.
When i went to add them to the parent profile one disc wasn't listed for inclusion. Then looking thru the normal view i can't see it either.
- I double checked that i'd downloaded the profile in question and am told i have the disc in my collection (it won't download again). - I can see a gap in the collection numbers where the missing disc should be - I've verified my filters are off.
I can select an actor (from another profile) i know is listed in the cast for that disc and can see the disc in his list of credits, with the missing collection number. When i double click the profile in that list instead of taking me to it i'm sent to the first in my sorted list (top of the list, sort order doesn't matter)...which is not the disc i wanted.
I've rebuilt the DB twice.
I can't rule out my own stupidity but i've run out of ideas on what form it has taken.
I'm looking for ideas on how to either make this profile visible or delete it.
Thanks. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | Did you do this in the "All" tab...?
If not, it may be worth to check the other two tabs. Sometimes a profile gets accidentally moved to Ordered or Wish List... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I'm having a similar "ghost" entry in my local database. It's a double for a regular entry that's in there as well, but seems to contain only part of the data (e.g. no image), but since I'm unable to put the entire"ghost" profile on screen, I can't really check. As in tweeter's case, it only shows up when I'm selecting a cast member I know is in the ghost entry in a different profile he or she is in and then double clicking on the name. When I then try to "Jump to Title" to go to the ghost entry, it takes me to the top of my collection instead.
I have tried all sorts to get rid of it, but to no avail.
Whenever I synchronize with my on-line collection, DVDP says my local collection has one entry more than my online collection (i.e. the "ghost" entry). Synchronizing never gets the "ghost" profile across to my online collection.
Like tweeter, I have no idea of what to try next. Anyone?
@ achim: checking different tabs has no effect. |

When i saw your post just now i double-checked them and it still wasn't there. However, it got me looking at the top of the collection list again and i realized some discs were being filtered out...and i noted for the first time the parental control icon was engaged. I disabled that and there was my Adult-rated Star Trek: TNG: Season 4 disc. I was about to blame my own stupidity but i just checked the online DB and it is rated Adult there! I just submitted a change back to NR for rating. Thanks. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | Hi,
i (using DVDProfiler 3.6.1) also have such a "ghost entry" ... and it doesn't show in the collection list at all. Only hints: - "all dvds (1005) filtered (1004) - even after erasing all filters (via button). - When i upload ther is always a difference shown - in the exported xml-file it is shown with an empty UPC-Tag: "... <DVD> <ProfileTimestamp>1899-12-30</ProfileTimestamp> <ID/> <MediaTypes> <DVD>true</DVD> <HDDVD>false</HDDVD> <BluRay>false</BluRay> </MediaTypes> <UPC/> ..."
Is there a way to delete it? |

| Posted: | | | | @Simon:
1) Run a database repair via Tools->Options->Utilities 2) Create a full backup via the File->Backup Database 3) Create a new database via File->Open Database->New Database 4) Open the new Database 5) Select File->Restore Database AND select Restore Specifc Profiles. Then select all and then unselect the empty profile.
Now you can either remove the original database via File->Open Database or backup again and restore the backup into the original database | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
