Not really intentionally, but some mail providers have an automatism for filtering spam. If you download your mails using e.g. outlook the filtered mails are not delivered. | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | Wish I'd had some warning... as it is it's not so bad because I'm at home but if it had come through on Monday morning I wouldn't have been able to confirm until I got back home at the end of the week which would have been a pain. Maybe it could be set to send out a 'please confirm within the next week, after which you will lose certain priviledges until you DO confirm' message next time? Quoting Martin_Zuidervliet: Quote: I do not have a spam filter. I do not need one. Besides why should anybody want to disclude posts from this website? Lucky you; I have one provided by my ISP and a local one and still get about 5% of my emails being spam and coming through unmolested. If I downloaded all email coming into my domain that would multiply it by 5 or so! If I didn't have a filter I reckon about 50% of my email would be spam. Spam filters by default try to pick up on keywords and known problem addresses so you don't get control over what sites it thinks are Spam senders, especially at first. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | you can change the e-mail for confirmation by one that you can reach. confirm the e-mail on an e-mail you can reach and change it back afterwards to the e-mail you want. User Settings Fair enough, but it seems a bit of a pain and I was concerned about what would happen given the unpredictability and the lack of info... it would be nice just to be able to 'confirm email' at any time so you could choose to do it every few/9 months so never be caught out | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | It still pops up but it no longer affects your ability to do anything on the site.
