| Posted: | | | | I found a bug in the mobile version, though its nothing major that can't be worked around.
I just read the announcement thread from when the beta was released and learned that there's a button that changes the upc input automated entry (to work with barcode scanners.) I haven't yet played with this function but when you switch into it there is some weird behavior
If you are already in lookup by UPC mode it will disable the radio button to switch back into title, however the only way to then switch back to either the regular lookup by upc or lookup by title is to exit that screen then re-enter it. You can't unclick the button on the bottom left (even though when clicking it it does toggle to an orange/blue border (starts off blue) It also locks you in this mode if you are in lookup by title and click the button to switch to the automated entry
additionally, if you are in lookup by title and click this button, when it selectes the upc radio button and disables the title radio button it leaves the substring search checkbox enabled. however it doesn't do this if you were on upc when clicking that button (I assume it substring search shouldn't be available since if you scan a barcode its all or nothing, not partial matches).
hopefully i described that well enough that it made sense. It seems like it would be an easy fix.

| Posted: | | | | I've noticed this behavior, too, and wondered why it kept prompting me for UPC when I wanted to search by Title. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. This was reported months ago sorry, guess I should have searched, but I was excited to learn about this feature that I was unaware of and in my excitement of playing with it I just posted it. Not that I would know what to search on to find that. But with the new beta looming around the corner for the desktop version it would be reasonable to assume that we could also expect some of the new features to affect the mobile version and cause a new release of that as well so wouldn't it be a good idea to maybe bring some of these issues/requests o the forefront? Or if you prefer I could just start a (at least) 4th 'can we have an ipod version' thread under feature requests instead of bringing up unresolved issues from months ago -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | Wnat does it hurt to remind Ken about this bug assuming he's doing an update for Profiler Mobile with the Profiler udate? Even if you reported this a year ago? | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. | Posted: | | | | Who say's it hurts? I just pointed out that it's already been reported as a bug is all...no need to get worked up about it . I'm sure Ken has a priority list of all reported/known bugs and will take care of them as he deems necessary. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
