| Posted: | | | | Sorry if these have been covered before, search always times out for me!
1. Adding events: There should be a default user making selection of user unnecessary in many cases. This should certainly be the case if there is only ONE user defined!
2. When adding DVD by scanning inserted disk, if DP is not set to full screen, the pop up "DVD recognized" appears BEHIND the main window and sometimes requires forcing the application with Task Manager to break a deadlock.
3. Events are not sorted by date.
4. Search on these forums always times out. When searching by any date and searching by last 30 days. | | | -R. Windows 7 (Home Premium) SP1; 64-bit DVD Profiler 3.8.1 |

Could you give an example what you mean? 4: The forumsearch is for sure not the best search available, but it shouldn't time out. Try entering just 1 searchword and click on the search button (don't press enter) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | 1. I don't use users much myself, so I may be wrong. But if you go into "Edit Users" there's a checkbox for "Principal User" - does that not make them first choice by default?
2. I haven't been able to duplicate this - it aways pops up on top for me. But sometimes when this happens to me on other occasions I find that I can get the window to show again by using Alt-tab.
3. Not sure where in the program you mean. In user history the event list is in reverse date order.
4. Completely agree on this one. It would be great if we could have an improved search on the forum. |

| Posted: | | | | Main user: Yes, but it still requires me to make a selection -- even if there is only ONE user. The mainuser (or only user) should be placed in the field as the default so the user need do nothing if that is the user s/he wants.
Deadlock: I'll see if I can come up with a reproducible scenario. BTW, I have a Sony VAIO laptop.
Sorting events: My error. (But it should be possible to change the sort order, ascending or descending) | | | -R. Windows 7 (Home Premium) SP1; 64-bit DVD Profiler 3.8.1 |

Please feel free to post this in the feature request forum. EDIT: For better search results you can always use Google's advanced search mode, here the website search. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! I looked under "watched by" and as far as I can tell as long as there is a principal user, all you have to do is press ok. |

Select a film, CTL+H (DVD History) Add event etc. Which is the only way to add an event for a date and time other than now -- e.g. to add a date last watched for all my newly-added movies. | | | -R. Nevertheless, the dialog brought up by CTL+H has a problem in that it does not populate the user field in a user-friendly manner. | | | -R. Windows 7 (Home Premium) SP1; 64-bit DVD Profiler 3.8.1 |
