| Posted: | | | | When I click on the link to my "profile", or whatever it's called, it shows four "Recent Purchases", but it's not at all accurate. I've purchases scores of DVD's since the ones that are listed. How is the System determining what it thinks my "Recent Purchases" are?

| Posted: | | | | It is off the purchase date... I know this because I purposely leave a purchase date off child profiles so that it don't show up in that area.
Also... from what I understand anything marked as adult (Rating or Genre) will not be included there. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | You also have to UPload your revised local profile to the online for the online to know what you have purchased recently...it's not automated...yet.

| Posted: | | | | I don't add the purchase date, I clear it. Maybe since I'm clearing the purchase date, it doesn't know what to do and just picks four random ones. There's no detectable pattern to the four it shows for me, as far as I can tell.

Mike When you do a local to online update DVDP scans your collection to find what has been added since the last your local to online update, hence it knows regardless of wether you include purchase dates or not. Try watching what the program does next time you do an update, you get a small scan window that compares the two, then just uploads the differences...not the whole collection. I have seen it myself, I have uploaded after some purchases, added a few more say a couple of days later, the done some child profiles (normally TV Series). Re-uploaded for a third time for the online to then say I purchased the children after I brought the parent. Steve. |

Steve. If this is the case... then explain to me how I created all the child profiles (6 profiles) for Fridfay the 13th: The Series... which just came out this past Tuesday... uploaded the child profiles just this morning... minus the purchase dates... but yet when you look at my Profile you see the parent profile... but do not see the child profiles there what so ever? I have been not using purchase dates on child profiles for over a year now just for this exact reason. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I recently added a new DVD to my collection, then uploaded it to my Online Collection. I then cleared my Browser cache, looked at my Profile, and it's still showing the same four as my most Recent Purchases. The one I just added is not there. In fact, I've added, and uploaded to my Online Collection, numerous times in the past months, but my Profile always shows the same four as my most Recent Purchases. It never seems to change. What the Hell, over?

Mike In all my experiences since the profiles has been introduced the 4 latest has always been attached to the purchase date. I believe if you add/leave a purchase date on your new additions you will see that it will change with each update on your profile. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Yup, you're right, Addicted2DVD. I added purchase dates to a couple of DVD's, and sure enough, they show up in my Recent Purchases. If I remove the purchase date, they disappear from the list, and I'm back to those same random four entries. I don't have any Purchase Dates assigned to those four, so I don't know how DVD Profiler is choosing them, but the Recent Purchases list is clearly tied to the Purchase Date.

| Posted: | | | | Just a hunch: Are it always the same four? If yes, check their UPCs/EANs. Are they by any chance the ones with the lowest UPCs? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | It is always the same 4, Karsten, but, nope, it wasn't the UPC's. One was low (started with 012), but another was high (started with 842). I have many in between. Good guess, though. Oh, well... | | | Mike |
