Sorting by genre

Hi, I tried sorting by genre, but when I do it that way, there are always some DVDs that don't mesh with the genre. Even when I change the genre so that DVDs match, and click sort by genre again, the DVDs don't go together for some reason. How can I get it so that all DVDs of one genre are always together?

Thanks.

(p.s. I searched to see if this topic was on the forum but couldn't find it, so sorry if this is a repeat question.)

Can you give an example? Is it maybe because they are in box sets?

AFAIK the first/primary genre is the relevant for sorting.

Thanks for the quick reply--and sorry for my slow response (I haven't been able to go onto DVD Profiler for awhile--busy with work).

For example, I added one DVD that had as its genre War, then Action, then Suspense/Thriller. So another DVD I added had as its genre, Suspense/Thriller, then War. I wanted them together, so I changed the first/primary genre of both to War. When I clicked sort by genre, they still stayed separate as if I hadn't even changed the primary genre to War.

Similarly for other Action or Adventure titles. Other genres do seem to go together.

Thanks if anyone can help . . .

I seem to have the same problem,.. Out of my 610 titles if I pick war I get 25 ., if I pick action on top of war ( now only two genre boxes picked I only get 8 ) if I then pick adventure I got zero . meaning that I have no action adventure war movies .. but take away war and I have now 65 .  it should not matter what the catagory primary secondary or third should not matter for the amount of titles you filter for genres picked .
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
