| Posted: | | | | I bought the German Version of "The Omen" Parts 1-3.. All of them have the same problem. I get to the menu I click start and then I'll end up in the menu again. With Part 1 I could trick them by selecting a random chapter and then just skipped back to the beginning. That didn't work with Parts 2&3. I am hoping this will be rectified with the FW Update 1.9 when it'll finally be available (In Europe) | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

| Posted: | | | | I also have the BD-P1400. It's a crappy BR player because it will stop the film wheb paused too long. No resume for BR supported it seems. Never had it as bad as having a disc that wouldn't play though. | | | My DVD's

| Posted: | | | | I don't own a BD-P1400 any longer (exchanged it for a Panny BD-30), but I thought I read that the "stop when paused" thing was fixed in one of the latest firmware upgrades...? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

I would like them to fix the resume play after stop though. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Never had it as bad as having a disc that wouldn't play though. They can't fix that pausing problem because it's hardware related. At least that's what an Samsung representative told me. Aside from that I am still pretty happy with my player. Especially since the 2.0 update | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

Yeah but two minutes. On HD-DVD Universal discs even had a screen saver that actived itself after a few minutes. They still have that option in menus on blu Ray's now but I don't know if that works during movies. i will check that out at work tomorrow and get back to you guys | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

Nope.. That pausing problem was not fixed after the latest FW update. Which came on Dec 19th. As I said earlier, Samsung told me that's Hardware related. | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

It depends on the company that released the movie. Some movies allow you to go back to where you stopped while others start from the beginning. | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

You can tell immediately if they player still displays the time where you stopped the movie. If that happens you can resume where you stopped | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

| Posted: | | | | But as for the original Topic of this thread.. "The Omen" Trilogy now plays fine on the Samsung BD-P 1400.
I also implemented the new updates for the 1500 and 2500 to the players at work and now it works on those too.
The Omen Trilogy was the only movie I encountered so far that didn't playback on my machine.
So for now, I am gonna stick with the 1400.
When I have the money I will buy the Onkyo 606. (The BD Player not the Receiver by the same number) | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |
