After working nicely for the first few weeks, it seems that DVD Profiler suddenly decided to cut down drastically its database I can access.

Under "Add by Title", I've got 22,814 total DVDs. With that number, I get zero results for most of DVDs I've searched. Even those added owned DVDs, such as Godard's Breathless, show up blank. I also tried to search by UPC, no luck there either. Unknown title for Breathless (UPC: 715515026222)

What is wrong? Can someone advise? Thank you!!!

Have you tried "Refresh Online Profile List"?

I just refreshed the list a few times. Occasionally it worked fine but most of times it would end up "Pending" or "Error" with red cross. BTW I don't problem using other online features under Online.

I tested internet connection under Options, no problem there. My firewall - Look 'n' Stop is allowing DVDPRO.exe too.

Hhmmm, how can I fix that?

Might be related to database changes due to version 3.5.1.
Please update to the latest version and check if the error still occurs.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I upgraded 3.5.0 -> 3.5.1, but the same below problem persists. And I can't find pretty much most of my new DVDs on the database

I really need some official support here. Thanks!

Search your system for these two hidden files: OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod, they should be in the Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\DVD Profiler folder, and delete them. Start DVD Profiler and select from the menu Online>Refresh Online Profile List. This should download the complete list which is about 20,000kb in size.

Thanks for the tip, 8ballMax That worked like charm. I however still wonder that really happened.

A few followup notes:
1. Under my DVD Profiler user directory, OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod are visible not hidden.
2. After deleting and refreshing, now OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod have 20.3mb each. Now under Add Owned DVD -> DVD Titles, it shows 400,449. Can someone confirm that is the right number and everything on the profile list?

Again thank you!!!
