| Posted: | | | | "Developed by" is a writing credit; however, it's given to writers who don't qualify for the "Created by" credit for one reason or another. Here's a link to the Writer's Guild rules for each credit. Aside from the issue that "Developed by" isn't listed in the chart, I wouldn't include it as equivalent to "Created by". | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | I would say 'no'. This credit is given to the person who took an existing idea, usually a movie, and turned it into a TV series. They didn't create it, they helped adapt it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. | Posted: | | | | In my own collection, I've seen such "developed by" credits only in cases where there's an actual "created by" credit as well. As such, I didn't seem like an equivalent to me, and so I didn't include it. I did store it locally as a custom "other" credit, though. |
