| Posted: | | | | Sorry if this has been asked many times before.
Got a new vista 64bit Pc in place of my old XP Pc which was playing up big time.
I have downloaded Profiler on to the new pc but it is of course empty. Is there any way of sending my online collection to the new pc as whenever I start the xp computer and try to connect to profiler it crashes.
or, how do I transfer my collection, not very computer savvy.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Then login with your user account
Then choose download.
If your online collection was up to date with your Windows XP, you should get all your titles back.
You might lose some personal info though, I'm don't think purchase price and location, and viewing dates ares stored in your online collection.
Edit: You could try to boot your windows XP PC with a BartPE boot CD, and see if you can still access the hard disk, and then copy the database directory to a usb drive or stick. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

Copy that folder onto an USB stick and the copy it onto your new computer into the very same location. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Big thanks for the fast reply. The method is meant as a last resort. The best way to do this, assuming your old computer still works, is to backup your db and restore it to the new computer. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
