| Posted: | | | | Hello, I am trying to print but the software claims that I do not have a default printer installed. I can not choose a printer either. I do not see printers from within the Invelos software. I am using Windows 7 so maybe that is the problem because in the past I did not have this issue. Any other ideas or Windows 7 users that can confirm this? Thanks for having a look at this. Greetings |

| Posted: | | | | What is your printer? (make & model).
It's quite possible that Windows 7 (and maybe Vista) doesn't have a driver for your model. |

| Posted: | | | | Hello Mathijs and Forget_the_Rest, Thank you for the fast answers. The printer is an HP Officejet J5780. I am able to use it with any other application, so it is not a driver issue. Also it is the default Windows printer. No, I have only issues with Invelos. Invelos does not see any printer. Greetings |

| Posted: | | | | It's a little strange that other applications can see & use it. The only thing that I can think of is that because there's no official Win 7 driver yet for some reason DVDP can't see it. It may be a simple case of waiting to see if HP release a driver after 7 is made available next month. |

| Posted: | | | | Hello DJ Doena, Thank you for answer. I was away form Invelos website for couple of days. I have 7 Ultimate also but inside DVDP I do not see any printer installed. No reports can be printed. Strange I do have a screen capture of the thing but no way of showing this as part of the post :-( Greetings Hans |

| Posted: | | | | you can upload the screen cap to a free image hosting site and then post it here. however, Ken just stated in the beta release forum that 3.6 will have official support for windows 7. So it's possible that your problem is a compatibility issue that Ken has addressed. from what Ken has said, it doesn't seem like we are too far away from seeing this beta so perhaps that will correct the problem? -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | PROBLEM SOLVED
Hello All Thank you for the support. I did uninstall DVDP and did reinstall. This did not change anything. However I did decide to assign another default printer and this did the trick. By taking another default printer (via the control panel of Windows) I was able to use the newly assigned default printer! So problem solved. After that did go back to the control panel and made the printer that was originally default, default again and this also worked. Do not ask me why it did not work first. Maybe I did install the printer after having installed DVDP??? Anyway, I appreciate your help a lot. I can still upload the screen capture if this can help anybody in debugging or whatever. Let me know with PM. Greetings Hans |

| Posted: | | | | This seems to be a problem with many versions of DVD profiler including the latest version (3.8.1). I noticed that if DVD Profiler is installed and has been used to print, but then the printer that it has printed to has been removed from the system and DVD profiler has been updated before printing to a new printer, then DVD profiler will still be looking for the old non-existing printer and it will give the error "There is no default printer currently selected" and the program will bomb. If you select a different printer as a default thru Windows (Even a .pdf printer will do) and then run DVD Profiler again (and print), then it will work. You can then set the default printer back to what you had and it will now work in DVD Profiler.
