| Posted: | | | | I just scanned in a collection of over 700 DVDs and now need to mark those titles that I have seen as "watched." I see that I can right click on a DVD in the main list and there is a "Watched By" option. When I select this, I then have to deselect "Filter Users by Rating" in order to see the users I have created. Next I have to select the user and Click Okay. Many steps to mark one DVD as watched. I have only figured out how to do this one DVD at a time. To do this for 700+ DVDs will take me all week!!! How do I do this in batch-- i.e., select many DVDs at once and mark the entire group as "watched" all at once?. I have tried flagging several DVDs and then I followed the steps mentioned above. Unfortunately ,this process only marks the first flagged DVD as watched. I'd like to multi-select those DVDs I have seen and then marke them as "Watched" all at once. Help? |

EDIT: for changing the "watched" date for a single DVD, select the DVD in the collection window and press the key-combination "CTRL +W" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If you set the user(s) in question to be allowed to watch all ratings you won't need to deselect "Filter Users by Rating" Additionally if you set the user set up for you as principle (may be called primary) user when the watched by dialog comes up it will pre-select that user. So all you would need to do is click ok. plus as goblinsdoitall said, when you want to apply an action to a whole set of flagged dvds you need to do it through the menu option "Collection -> Flagged" and then select the action you wish to apply to all of them. Also, I havent tried it but Mediadogg's bulk edit plugin might be able to help with this as well. -Agrare | | | Last edited: by Agrare |
