| Posted: | | | | When adding Child profiles for TV seasons or movie series, why are they not in reasonable order? I can somewhat understand this for movies that have vastly different names, but what is the reasoning for TV season boxes?
Why is it that Child profiles are in
TV season, disc 3 TV season, disc 1 TV season, disc 2
It seems it should be easy enough to put titles like this in correct order so that they are displayed in correct order (when displayed by collection #). | | | My Home Theater |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe it's the sorting title:
ctrl+p/ personalize/sort title
example:
Parent: The Shield: Season 6 Childs: The Shield: Season 6: Disc 1 The Shield: Season 6: Disc 2
etc.
The order should be ok now! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Did you gave your child profiles also collection numbers? I had no problem if the childs have the collection numbers in the right direction Parent: X Child: disc 1: X+1 Child: disc 2: X+2 ...
Also had no problems with always the same collection number on child an parent Parent: X Child: disc 1: X Child: disc 2: X ...
Another idea if it's also not the sorting title: Sort by title, check if it's then correct and then change back to sorting with collection number. |

| Posted: | | | | No, I am talking about when adding Season Box set to my collection. When Child profiles are present, the program offers to add them to my collection, but the default order is usually not in order. I usually decline the automatic add, and then manually add them under Add by Title in correct order. | | | My Home Theater |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, if it's not a matter of the sorting title I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you give an example please. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You may have to tweak collection numbers, though. As best as I can tell, they are added added alphabetically by the actual title. |

| Posted: | | | | VirusPil is right. I just moved a box set and its child profiles from wishlist to owned. The child profiles are sorted after their collection numbers, not their sort titles.
EDIT: It also depends on how the profiles are sorted in the current tab. That always has priority, also inside a box set. | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

I've added multiple "complete series" box sets with dozens of profiles in them. They all get added very randomly. To those who haven't experienced it you could get a season 5 disk 6 then a season 3 disk 2 then then a season 4 disk whatever. You would think all of the disks for each season would come up at the same time but that's not the case. While I find it a slightly annoying I have to say it is a HUGE improvement over adding each profile individually. I used to dread entering TV shows, now it's a joy. I personalize them to sort how I want and since I don't number all of them I don't have a problem there. I could see if you wanted to number them it would be a bit more of a hassle. I guess I would redo the sort title and then just "re-number: them after they are added. |

My suspicion is that they may be ordered by Id, by DiscId in this case and since the discIds don't mean anything really the discs just get mixed up as they come. But it's just in the message box. When the profiles are actually added they use their sort title just like all other profiles to be sorted into the collection list. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | When that happens to me, I take one sort titles of the one that is correctly ordered and copy it over and then correct the disc number. I usually sort by purchase date, I know it takes that first, then the sort title, it will what ever you sort by first. Do use collection numbers on your child profiles?
