Hi all

I wanted to import my old dat-file (from dvd profiler 2.5 BETA) to my new computer with 3.6 - but it gives me an error (as my regkey is too long). 3.6 registered fine.

I can't open 2.5 anymore to do a backupfile (which I should be able to import into 3.6).

Any hints?

Thx
Pierre

Usually it should suffice to copy the content of the DVDProfiler folder in "My Documents" to the folder on the new computer. The "old" database will automatically be converted into the new format at next program startup. I wouldn't recommend a copy of the *.dat files.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I already have the key for 3.6 - but the key for 2.5 had less digits.

The dat-file from 2.5 cannot be imported into 3.6, unfortunately.

Any other help?

Thx

re-install the 2.5 from here: http://legacy.intervocative.com/Downloads.aspx

Open the database with it.

Choose File->Backup database

Open 3.6

Coose File->Restore Database
