| Posted: | | | | The web site: eglobalwireless.com :Is selling a 7" Mini Netbook Laptop Notebook WIFI Windows 2GB HD for only $100.00. I have been looking for some way to have access to my DVD Profiler database in my TV/Living Room. Can anybody tell me if DVD Profiler Mobile will run on this system? Or should I just wait for the iPod/iPhone/iPad version of DVDPro?? :David | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... "Time spent with cats is never wasted." - Sigmund Freud |

| Posted: | | | | the mobile version is for mobile devices like phones and pda's. Stuff running the Windows Mobile OS go to the product page for mobile and it tells you: Windows Mobile 6 Professional or Classic Windows Mobile 5 Professional or Classic Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE What your looking at is a net book so it probably runs regular windows. it can probably handle dvd profile on it. The new version (3.6) lets you set up your database to be shared over a network (the main computer needs to be on and running dvd profiler though). Something like this sounds more like what you want as the current mobile version is fairly limited as to what you can edit (only personal info) and the actions you can do on the profiles (watch, loan, rate). From your post I get the impression you want a bit more access than that, which would lend itself to a laptop\netbook running the full DVD Profiler connected to your database on your main computer (in which case this may work...didn't really look at specks but can just check the system requirements for DVD Profiler). If you want to use mobile you need a PDA or Win Mobile Phone. -Agrare |
