| Posted: | | | | Good day everyone
I have a short question. In my list it states i have a total of 1228 dvd's but i actualy own 1220. I label all my dvd's with a printed number and the last one was 1220. I tried repairing but it still says 1228. Where are those 8 dvd's?
Thank you in advance for you replies

If it is more than 1220, you probably have some child profiles pomewhere or otherwise are coutning differently than DVD profiler. If you have 1220 profiles which are being counted as 1228, something has it's count number changed. Right click on your list to sort by count. Personal the offenders (control-P) and change to count as 1. |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Ace, I did what you suggested. When i select all it says 1298 profiles at the bottom. This includes the boxsets and bonus discs which i set as 'count as' on 0. Then i sorted the profiles by 'count as' and checked a few if they were not set 'count as' more than 1 and boxsets and bonusdiscs on 0. I still can't find the 8 mystery dvd's this way | | | “Nobody trusts anyone, or why did they put tilt on a pinball machine.”

| Posted: | | | | Don't feel to bad, I have 3 different sets of numbers; 1 for my database, 1 for my mobile and 1 for my online. I have opened a support ticket, talked to several people, uninstalled completely, reinstalled fresh and restored, checked count as, repaired the db many, many times using the db repair utility in the program and the new one that can be downloaded and nothing I have done will bring these numbers together, so the only thing I can do is hope I don't double dip because of mismatched numbers. I'm just preparing you for the no resolution senario. Good luck. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

Upload this empty database to both the Mobile and the Online, effectively erasing them. Make sure they are empty. Then you create a backup of your old database and restore it into the new one. BUT do not do a full restore but a profile specific. Check if there are any "empty" profiles in the restore list. Afterwards check your Offline settings under Tools->Options->Parental Then you transfer to the Mobile from your new DB. Check the parental settings in the transfer screen and on your actual Mobile. Then check your Online settings here. Upload your collection from your new DB. And always keep in mind that the entire issue has gotten complicated since the "Count As" was introduced. Before 3.6 it was the number of the profiles you had. Now it's the added number of all the Count As'ses. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I found the culprits. It was a recently added box with 8 disc included. Since the standard of dvd profiler is that each disc is counted it added all 8 with count as 1. It was Monthy Python's Flying Circus The Complete Boxset and i numbered that box with one number. I'll be more carefull in the future now they implemented this new count as feature. Thank you for your attention.

I will printout your instructions and following them to the tee. I will post back when I have the results. Edit: Just a side note. I don't understand why the numbers are not synced with one another when nothing special has been checked or unchecked. There should not be 3 different sets of rules that govern what gets counted or not counted. I don't need an imaginary line between these three places, I only have one DB. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. | | | Last edited: by mreeder50 |

I'm an IT guy and didn't see that one. For the first time in many years, my #s are all the same. I wasn't worried about my local and online not matching until I got the mobile version and had yet another #. This process needs to be documented and pinned for others to use. Again THANK YOU! | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
