I keep my dvd's in folders and I do not see where to catalog and/or how to make a list of that information.  I have folders labeled by letter and the dvd's are then numbered 1-x in that folder.  I see that in Personalize discs that you can add location and slot but I do not see how to list that selection(it also does not always give me the option to fill in those fields).  I am kind of surprised that this feature is hard to find because it would seem to me to be the second most important feature behind title listing.  I have also found that when I go to edit a report and I go to content>dvd>disc information that none of the choices change, not allowing me to add what I want.  I love how this software works for inputting the movie information but if it can not list my movies by location then I will not be buying it.  Can anyone help?

Right-click on the list header of the collection list and select View Columns->Disc Location.

Thanks for the quick response.  Thanks to you I can make the location show in the list, but I still cannot make it work for all movies.  The location and slot choices are greyed and I can't input anything.  I also still cannot change any fields for making reports.  I would like to be able to print out lists of my movies alphabetically and by location.  That way I could have one main folder for all movies alphabetically and then have a list in each separate folder that would be in number order.

The location info is bound to the disc, not the movie profile per se. So in order to make these fields writable, you have to at least add one disc (via the "Add Disc" button).

Reports are not my territory, though. Can't help you there.

That worked too!  You are a genius!!  Thanks for the help.  I will probably be buying, but I have a few more tests to do.  I still can't figure out why when I go to edit a report almost nothing changes when I click on other things.  It won't let me change anything really.  I think I will come back to it later.  Thanks again.

Could be a restriction of the unregistred version. see here:

Never tested it, but there is a field in reports called Disc Information which should show the disc location.

Thanks for the info.  I had checked that list before I posted because I didn't see anything that sounded like it and it should still work until you get 50 movies right?  If you do test it then please let me know what you find.  I have also found report downloads that have different selections built in, but I would like to make my own???

Is it possible the report editor isn't working the way you expect it to? It's not the most friendly of interfaces I have to admit.
What you should have in the Contents section is a row of icons (under 5 categories) above a white area which is your work area. It may not start very big, you may have to adjust the size (in the General section, as DVD Item).
What you need to do is click on an icon and then click inside the white area and this adds that category to your report (it shows up as a blue box). You'll also see extra options to the left, these change depending on which box is selected.
So to add the location details you need to click on Disc Information (under DVD) and then click in the white area where you want it to show. On the left hand side you'll see the different options, you should make sure Show Location and/or Show Slots are set to True.

Hope this helps!
