I am trying to find information about using DVD Profiler on the iPad, and getting tired of looking through Forum discussions to help decide on whether to purchase this. Is there an organized document of features, or some better method to see feature details and costs?
I am not currently a user of any version of DVD Profiler, although I did download it to my PC to take a look at that version. I would prefer to only use it on the iPad though.
Is there a backup of the App's data done when a backup of the iPad is done, or does the product offer another method of backing up the data? (I know from experience, having to restore the iPad from backup is a huge pain for Apps that do not have their data included in the Apple backup.)
Will the purchase of the version for the iPad be the only cost I will have? (I see several posts about syncing to the PC, if that is the only method to do a backup, can I do that without additional costs?)
If possible, you may want to consider a marketing approach with a low initial cost, similar to other Apple App's: have a low cost, not fully featured version for people to try out your product. If your iOS version works as well as your PC version, that your long time customers seem to really like, then you probably will get more customers faster with this type of approach. I know $8.99 would be low cost in the Windows market, but not in the Apple App market, so people probably hesitate unless they have experience with your product.
Hope there is better product data available to help me decide on my purchase. Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | A backup is made when you backup your iPad. If you purchase the iOS app for the iPad, you can track your collection solely on the iPad without the desktop but to enjoy the full benifits of the iOS version, you'll need the desktop app. At a price comparable with a Blu-Ray movie, it's well worth the investment. With the desktop version and your iOS synced to it, the desktop becomes the primary/host database and also functions as a backup (and includes robust backup features). | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
