| Posted: | | | | I consider slip covers and inserts as much a part of the product as the DVDs themselves.
I guess that they could just start selling them in CD cases. . . . . . I think it would make them look bootleg quality, but they could still do it to please all of the people who probably own only 10 DVDs and would be willing to buy them even if they were wrapped in sandwich bags.
I agree with disliking overlapping and the BttF comments. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | I don't know...I didn't agree with half of what he said. I like slip covers. Most of the time, they're pretty cool looking. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to take one off and throw it if you don't want it. Same with the latches. You don't like them, tear them off. Doesn't hurt the case any. Most things like that were invented because a few people wanted to steal and now the majority of us have to pay for it. Want to be angry at them? Blame the thieves who caused the companies to make it harder to get into a DVD. If you can't figure out how to open up a DVD, you probably shouldn't be watching it anyway.
I like the stuff that comes with DVDs. I'm with Blair and consider it part of what I'm paying for...the shiny art, the extra features, the slip of paper with the movie chapters on it. I dislike that most DVDs now come with nothing and you're still paying the same price for a cheaper product.
I do agree with the BTTF set...it does seem difficult to get the discs out. You shouldn't need directions to get discs out, but I'd rather my discs be secure and unscratched than in envelopes or to have to slide them out. If he complained about that, I'd agree with that. Envelopes, having to slide the discs in and out each time in cardboard, that's something to complain about!
Oh, almost forgot! How about the eco friendly ones with the big cutouts in the case that make it easy for the discs to be scratched and make the whole case flimsy! Complain about that, not easy to take off slip covers! | | | Lori | | | Last edited: by LJG |

| Posted: | | | | What about multiple discs on the same spindle that some have started to issue, Sony for one and one had about ten discs on one spindle.
When I got the complete Law & Order I was so happy to see that each season had its own keep case in a sturdy box.
Most of the complete TV series packaging look like they were designed by cult of saddests trying to see who could PO the most people. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
