| Posted: | | | | I want to have categories. Movies, TV on DVD, etc. However if I have titles listed in those categories, they go into the "all" section rather than the "owned" section. If I move a title from all to owned (which I believe is necessary to do if I want guests to be able to view my collection), it gets removed from the sub category that I want it in.
Did I waste my time and money, or is there an option hidden somewhere that will let me have my collection viewable for my friends that want to browse, but also let me categorize things the way I want? |

| Posted: | | | | Just to add...custom categories DO NOT show up in the online collection list. The titles will, but the will not be sorted by category. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. DoubleDown - they're going to view it through a web link. Right now even I can't see my collection on the link, even when I'm logged in.
Kulju - thanks, I'll give that a go! :-)
MadMartian - yeah, I know. The custom thing is more for my reference. I just wanted to be able to keep that system as well as letting people view my collection. Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | Got all my titles on my owned, all and custom lists.
However, I still can not view my collection off of the website when I click "view online collection," nor can anyone see it when I send them the link. A large part of why I bought this software was so I could let my friends view my collection online before gatherings and such in case they wanted me to bring a movie or two with me, so I'd really like to get this situation fixed.
I've checked my Online Collection Settings, it's set to public. Owned, ordered and wishlist are all checked to be accessible by the public. | | | Last edited: by JestersTear |

| Posted: | | | | This may seem like a silly question, but have you done an upload to your online collection from the DVD Profiler application? | | | I don't wanna be like everyone else, that's why I'm a mod, see? |

| Posted: | | | | Dave - yes, I have. My collection was fine and able to be viewed by friends several months ago, then it disappeared at some point. So I definitely uploaded it.
However - I said what the heck, and uploaded it again. Guess what? It works now. I don't know what happened to delete it, since all I do is add new titles via the program and upload them, but apparently something in the system crapped out on me. |
