I purchased DVD Profiler from Google Play yesterday, created a free account and set the app to use a database stored on invelos website. The initial sign-in encountered no errors.
When I attempt to update the database though, the app constantly crashes with the error 'Unfortunately, DVD Profile ha stopped'.
From the crash log: Package Version is 1.0.1 (Package Version 29) and the Reported type is 'Crash'. The Exception class name is 'java.lang.NullPointerException'. The Source class is 'com.inverlos.dvdprofiler.Interface.Connection.FragmentDPOUpdate'. Source Method is 'a'. Line Number is '-1'.
The top of the stack trace states: 'java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to resume activity {com.invelos.dvdprofiler/com.invelos.dvdprofiler.Interface.Connection.ActivityUpdateDatabase}: java.lang.NullPointerException at android.app.ActivityThread.java:2918)
I'm running 4.3.1 android via CyanogenMod if this means anything.. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2.
Ideally i'd just like to sync to the web so I can index my DVD collection before I put the boxes into storage. I can't find a workaround or a reason for the fault, I've tried clearing the data for the app and uninstalling > reinstalling, the problem persisted.
I tried to post in the Android Tech forum but its locked unless you own the PC version, I have no plans to purchase this (at this point) as clearly the main application I need isn't working.
Can anyone assist or point me to somewhere I can go to report this directly to the developers please?
Thanks |

Thank you, that did the trick, I didn't realise it was free or that an online collection was needed. It made sense to create it local to the phone and have it sync up - creating the DB - I am unsure why this isn't part of the application. At the very least, an error message rather than a system crash would be helpful. Thanks again. |
