Just hit ctrl-shift-1 by chance and it marked the selected profile with a 1.  Does the same 1 through 9.  Anyone shed some light on the purpose of this function?  And also how to remove the marks?

I can't say what it does (other than mark the profile), but hitting the same  set of keys will remove it.

Well it is not some kind of flagging, I tried that. It does not export anything additional to XML, and interestingly it is persistent after switching to another database if the profile is present there.
So maybe that it is purpose? The possibility to mark profiles in one DB to find them in another?

As greyghost wrote: hit it again.

Thanks greyghost, Mithi.  I would've like to know the purpose of this quirky little feature but at least I know how to remove the marks now, can't believe I never thought of hitting the same keys!  I blame tiredness haha.  Thanks again.

After a little googleling:
This feature was introduced in v3.6.0 (Release Notes)

Especially with the Ctrl+# this might come in handy someday ... if one just could remember it at such a time of need.

Lesson learned here: We really have to read and re-read those Release Notes.

PS I mean, like serious, did you know that:

Yep, I did.  Can I get a cookie?

I only learned about it because, at the time, I was regularly adjusting my Features window, making the icons larger or smaller, a new feature at the time (right-click in the Features window) and then that feature was added a release or two later also showing up in the right-click menu.

I have used the CTRL+SHIFT+# only once when I was adjusting some file names. Obviously it isn't a feature with much known purpose.

I also missed this and have LoadDVD programmed to accept Ctrl-# for disc selection and play for Harmony Remote users. Guess I will need to find another key combination.
Thanks for your support.

This would be very useful if it held when you quit the program, but alas, it does not.
