| | Posted: | | | | Just a simple question, should this featured be checked only if the main movie has multi-angle option (I only know music DVD's with this option) or also if in bonus features, when sometimes we have just one scene with multi-angle, if it can be changed from remote?

Not just animated features, but live action features too, e.g. UNBREAKABLE and BELOVED R1 both have multi-angle on the credits. I tick multi-angle if it's in the main feature or on bonus materials. You can switch between the finished movie and the scribbled storyboard version. I think that's a nice addition.  But it's one of the best animated DVDs anyway. Dolby Digital EX, director's commentary, isolated score, and much more. Would love to see Disney doing something similar on their releases... |

On my first DVD player the angle mark would show up on the LCD display every time. Those angles weren't accessible via the remote though, so it would be wrong to check the "multi-angle" box, according to the rules. |

| | Posted: | | | | FWIW, because of the lack of OFFICIAL standard for seamless branching (and it's expense and lack of machines which do it!) any Doctor Who DVD which has a choice to watch as originally transmitted or with new SFX uses Angle branching However (unless your player is hacked) you can't chage angles on the fly, you just get a choice of which to watch so against the Rules (as CPreischi just pointed out and I missed until now), as well as being potentially misleading since the images are not from different angles. FWIW I believe the Rule to mean any multi-angle on the DVD, so if there is a multi-angle featurette of a scene I think it is perfectly correct to tick the box... I also personally think "Any multi-angle content" is obviously referring to the disc not the feature as it would not be worded this way otherwise... however it seems (not for the first time) not everyone agrees!  | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
