I've captured over 800 movies to my iPad, but the Update feature to the Windows application fails every time I try to run it.

So I'm now stuck with a big collection on my mobile device, and no way to do more with it.

Can anyone suggest a way to transfer the data?

I have no hesitation whatsoever changing to another Windows application (e.g. Collectorz) as long as I can do more with my data, considering that Invelos has offered NO solution!

I don't have an iPad, so my idea needs be validated, but I did a Forum search (10 seconds) and came up with a solution that uses the online collection. First upload from iOS to your online, then you can download from there to the Desktop version.

If that doesn't suit you, then if there is a way to print from iOS, all you need is a list of the Profile IDs in a text file. The Desktop version can bulk load down from the master online database, using such a list - see "Add Multiple DVDs to Collection."
Thanks for your support.

Maybe it's because you don't have a registered version of DVDP?

I figured out a fiddly way to copy the UPC codes from the iPad database using various utilities, so now I can at least batch-add the whole lot to the Windows application, pending a fix for the Update bug.

"Try before you buy" software that crashes? That certainly doesn't encourage a purchase! I need to know it will work properly before I pay.

I couldn't find any way to upload the iOS data online. That seems to be a desktop-only feature. The only way to sync to the PC is directly via the local network.

There is no way to print a list from the iOS app (and no regular way to access the data either, but I used assorted tools to achieve the same goal).

Select Databases, select your database, Change Connection Type, Connect via DVD Profiler Online

To print: select Collection, select the box with the arrow coming out of it, select Print Report. however this uses this desktop program to actually do the printing.

With greyghost's tip, my issue is now fully resolved! (And my awkward workaround quite unnecessary).
