| Posted: | | | | Friends: The Complete Series (1994 - 2004) May 2nd - €53.20 (CA$84.99) @ Amazon.ca (paid partially via gift certificate) Collection no. 12686 - 12705 But I'm a bit disappointed. It's really my fault because I didn't check this beforehand (I just didn't expect it): It's only the broadcast version. As someone who knows the key episodes in their extended version basically by heart, it's like an audio CD with a few scratches and the music suddenly jumps in the middle of the track. I bet they pull a Lucas and in a few months / years there will be a Blu-ray Extended Edition... | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I never watched the Extended editions, so it doesn't really matter to me. I guess I'd prefer them, but not a deal breaker. I picked it up last year when it was $69.99. Currently watching it with my daughters, in the middle of season five. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

For instance I find the Big Bang Theory to be stupid and self indulgent, but is by the most popular sitcom on TV today. I started re-watching Friends and while it is somewhat predictable and even cliche at times I still find it funny. The first season was uneven, but soon found it's legs. Great cast and great writing. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | I recently started re-watching friends too... in season 2 right now. Loved the show. Love The Big Bang Theory even more though. I was thinking I wanted to upgrade to the blu-ray complete series set... but if it isn't the extended episodes I think I will keep my DVD set. | | | Pete |
