| | Posted: | | | | Can anyone coach me through the process, step-by-step, of beginning entries with the next word in the title? I input many of the titles in my collection with the word "The" and want to correct this error. |

Go to the top of profiler and click on Tools > Options > Display > Append Title Articles.
Once your done you need to reassign your database. Click on Collection > Reassign Collection Numbers > Reassign All Collection Numbers and Order by Title (2 boxes to tick in that window) > Okay.

Just to clarify, "The" in the title is not an error, nor should it be corrected. If that's what the title contains, that's what needs be there. Assuming you wish to contribute of course. If you edit the profile; on the General Information tab under Basic Information; the 1st selection here is DVD Title:, the 2nd is Edition: and the 3rd is Sort Title:. If you delete "The and the following space" from here the title will be sorted by the next word. If you are talking about actually renaming the title to exclude "The", then do it on the 1st choice "DVD Title:". If you do this for the DVD Title, you will need to lock it so the next time there is an update for that profile it will not revert back. If you do this on the Sort Title, it will stay this way until you change it yourself. If something else, please specify the exact solution you are looking for.
