| Posted: | | | | I've been using this app (version 1.1.5, build 48) for awhile but something that's bothered me is there doesn't seem to be a way to export my DVD list out of my phone...at all. I have over 600 DVDs that I've scanned and I want to be able to transfer these when I get a new phone. I don't have a PC version of Profiler. Would that enable me to do this? It sucks to think I may have wasted hours scanning my DVDs for nothing when I get a new phone. |

| Posted: | | | | Well I downloaded the PC version but still can't get anywhere. I just don't see any update option on my phone beyond updating the DVD database. There's nothing allowing for syncing. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm actually getting somewhere...kinda sorta. I was able to upload from the phone but when I try to sync using the PC software it tells me enter a server and port number. I don't ever get the option to do that on the phone. |

| Posted: | | | | Well I've been able to download 300+ of my movies but not the full 600 into the PC software but I keep getting an error stating "this file format is a later version than this program's version." Well according to the program, it is the latest version (3.8.2). VEry frustrating. It shouldn't be this hard. |

| Posted: | | | | Is this going to be a blog? Or are you actually looking for help? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Intrigued! I have recently needed to wipe my PC and re-install ALL my programs. Needless to say, I have been looking for a way to export my (paid subscription) Android Database to my PC (free program/no subscription). If anybody figures a way to do this, Please let us know. |

Just upload it to DVD Profiler Online and download on your PC. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Support Representative |

There's nothing allowing for syncing. This version uses the direct link to DVDP on the PC; there's an option on the phone to go via online which may suit you better as advised by Invelos above... on phone select database, select the name of the database (assuming you only have one), Change Connection Type; select via DVD Profiler Online... the version I use described below is for Connect to DVDP for PC (which uses wireless connection) I *think* I can help... but it might be worth posting a specific question in the Android/iPhone forum Turn on sharing on the PC version; it's in Options somewhere... the IP address appears in the bar at the bottom of the DVDP screen when successful and the port number can be left as the default. On the phone select the database you have there (it might have to be the same name as the PC one but if it does I think it tells you); when trying to sync select Edit and enter the IP address shown in the PC DVDP bottom bar for server; leave port as default (32847), ensure Send Changes is on (or it will overwrite the db on the phone with the blank PC one!) and hit Update... first time will take ages BTW | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

Latest version is 3.9.0; it has lots of new features so the old phone app may need it installing so it understands. Run a datbase repair: Options -> Tools then File -> Backup to a file in case the update doesn't go smoothly (it did for me BTW), Upload to your Online Collection (for additional peace of mind), download the new vesion and install; it should keep all your data without any need to do anything further; if it doesn't you have the backup to restore from and the Online just in case | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
