| Posted: | | | | Been using DVD Profiler for years. Yesterday, I opened the program and was told my database was corrupt. I selected "repair" and when it was done half of my collection was missing. Is there any chance of getting ALL that work back?
Thanks, bobA |

| Posted: | | | | Not heard of this before... not sure if I can help but...
My first suggestion would be to do another database repair... sometimes it takes more then one to fix a problem.
If that fails... do you have a recent back-up?
If that is no good... do you have your collection online... if you do you can download what is there from the online.
No ideas other then that. But maybe someone else here can help. | | | Pete |

Thanks, bobA (1) You can reload your database from a backup. You do have backup(s), right? (2) You can use an older copy of the default database that was saved as part of a system backup. You do have periodic system backups, right? (3) You can use the plugin BulkEdit to create a database from exported XML (4) You can recreate portions of your database using "Add Multiple" with the contents of a saved flags file (just a list of profile IDs) (5) You can use the ScrapeGoat tool of BulkEdit to quickly flag DVDs from any user's Online Collection, then automatically load them into your database. This only requires that you start with a collection that is similar to what yours was, and then you just click on the ones you remember that you had. (6) Open a ticket with Invelos Support to seek their help. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | He has not purchased the program, so there is no online option nor is there a support ticket option. If he doesn't have a backup, there isn't much he can do other than try to rebuild it...either by adding each title by hand or trying one of mediadogg's suggestions. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. "Registered: September 16, 2012" That would be a long time to wait just to present a hoax! (though I would not put it past a few people.) | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

That would be a long time to wait just to present a hoax! (though I would not put it past a few people.) Well it was an attempt to draw him out, followed by my profuse apology ... But obviously my ruse didn't work. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |
