| Posted: | | | | Just curious about uses for DVD Profiler other than cataloging DVD's. This is what I primarily purchased it for many years ago, and I have found it invaluable. I have been involved in Community theater with my son and daughter, and have recently begun to log all the stage productions we have been involved with over the last 10 years, either on stage or backstage, using DVD PRofiler. I have even gone so far as to include productions that I have seen that include friends and acquaintances. Crew credits for stage productions are quite different from film or TV, but I have found workarounds to include them, such as set construction, Lighting, props, musicians (I don't include them in the cast) and other back stage tasks. One thing that I wish could be done in DVD Profiler, is add or modify some of the crew assignment names to include those and others as mentioned above. All in all, it does what I want, just day dreaming. | | | Last edited: by macca45 |

Your new language will be stage or whatever you choose... tools/options/system/language/new : create your translation file using MasterTranslationSource file | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

I can now get the general Info layout to look close to the way I want it. It also gives me the ability to enter any country name of my choosing. |

Those are strictly local (won't get overwritten during an update) and you can freely choose the description. I apologize if I misunderstood the question. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you, adding "new" to the language field worked to a certain extent, but using the "Other" section seems to work better. Although it would be nice to hard code additional fields into the crew list, even if it was just a "local" option. Some of the workarounds I include are the stage manager in the "Producer" section using Other. As for the lighting crew, no idea where to put them, so at the moment they go into "Art" section, "Other" for the time being. For adding for DVD's where do the lighting crew go? Other fields I "Create" are set design & construction, Front Of House, Publicity, Rehearsal Master, Vocal and Dance Coaches. ETC. I am not losing track of the fact that the program is designed for DVD cataloging, I just find the program convenient for logging stage productions. |
