| Posted: | | | | Hello,
I am contemplating purchasing DVD Profiler, as the cataloguing program that I have used for the past 15 years, CatVids, has been discontinued with only minimal support remaining. I have approximately 1,500 movies and do not want to scan them all individually. CatVids is an Access database. Is there any way to import it? I can export from Catvids to Excel, XML and text, but will probably lose a lot of information that way.
Any guidance would be appreciated. |

Any guidance would be appreciated. We've done this for many others in the past. This community has powerful tools and high motivation. But you gotta buy the product and have some faith that it can and will happen (speaking for myself - not for Invelos or anybody else). Hint: Do a search for "DVD Spot" and you will find a complete saga of how we helped bring the folks from that product into the family!! So grab a license and get the party started! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Here is a l ink to the DVDSpot project, which can give an idea of how the community figured out how to convert that data format to DVD Profiler. We found a way to preserve most of the users' personal data. If you want to get a head start, just export two or three representative DVD profiles from your database in CSV or XML format, and post it here. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Seems like I fell for another one ...
Every few months we get one of these "I wanna convert, who can help?" trolls. And I always fall for it and start engaging.
A second post from the OP usually never follows. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |
