| Posted: | | | | Hi all, I started with the free version and found it a nice way to corral my collection. I bought the full version and enjoy using it. I just added the ios mobile app and after a real pain in the ass time trying to figure out how to synch the PC collection to the mobile app I really like it. The problem was resolved when I finally figured out what the "help" and "how to connect" sections were trying to tell me...they weren't that much help and actually confusing but by trying everything I finally got it to work and figured out how I did it so I could repeat it hehehe.
It's awesome to have my entire collection on my iphone. It will make buying more easy. I really like the batch scan...it took very little time to add my meager collection of 300 ish titles.
Thanks guys you did a great job with this program... |

| Posted: | | | | Hi - can you please detail how you did it? I started like you - free + full version, but I cannot load via UPC anymore. Always get the msg "Title Unknown". I have gone to the support and help and still can't figure it out.
Also, how did you load with the mobile app? Can you scan the barcodes into the database or how exactly getting the mobile app help further?
Thanks in advance |

I assume the Title Unknown message is that it's not in the database. Since this is user built, you'll need to add it yourself adhering (as close as possible) to the rules. |

| Posted: | | | | no, it is not that. As soon as I start typing it gives this message, even for popular movies which are or should be in the database. There is some thing I am not doing right and was wondering what that is. For example, even for movies that I had previously loaded by UPC - but then removed for testing - now it gives the same message "Title: Unknown"
Thanks for replying though |

| Posted: | | | | Ah, I've encountered that kind of thing and can't quite remember the fix. Maybe change the region setting in the search parameters? |

| Posted: | | | | just to recap.. and post my thoughts..
the trick of course is once your library is intact and to your satisfaction on your PC .. upload it to the cloud (Invelos)., then install the IOS ap and download your same library back down to your phone/tablet .. ( its in 4 category of All , Owned , Order and Wish list ) Once in your phone or tablet, you have the option of adding titles deleting titles .. using you tube to watch the trailer associated to your title., using a bar code scanner in store to see if title is in your library or using the bar code to Add the title to your wish list.. any cover art that has been changed by yourself will not show only the cover art associated by the upc of that title will show in your DVD profiler on device.. .. If you add a lot or a few new titles .. upload that list back up to profiler .. and once home you can download the same library of IOS titles to your PC .. Have your Cover art locked at all times in your PC and therefore your altered art cover work won't be affected . I usually keep my titles in Purchase mode for sort order on the ap . . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Or don't even involve the cloud. Cut out the middleman. Create a new database from the mobile app using the "Connect to DVD Profiler for PC" option then sending and receiving changes between the two locally (Local IP) or when on-the-go (WAN IP). If you want to view or update your collection as seen online that can always be done separately from DVD Profiler for PC. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | A noob question:
Can I scan a UPC directly into DVDProfiler - so as to set up my Database - I have manually loaded 227 titles but have 800+ more to go - and it is very tedious doing it manually. If scanning is possible please explain how to do it.
Thanks |

Thanks You can scan with a barcode scanner. You click on the button to add a new dvd to your profiler. Right next to the box where you'd type the UPC, there's a button saying "Add Multiple." There's also a picture of a barcode scanner and the UPC code. When it opens, you'll have several options to set up the process. Hope this helps! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | You could use the barcode scanner that comes with the ap. It location would be collection / up button. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
