| Posted: | | | | You would probably have had a better chance of an answer if you had posted this in the Desktop Technical Support forum, but here goes: There are different options depening on what you want to change. 1) You can change tags in bulk by flagging all relevant profiles and selecting Collection / Flagged / Set Tags2) For copying some other features, change one profile and select DVD / Copy. Then flag all relevant profiles and select Collection / Flagged / Paste. In the Paste window, check the item or items that you want to paste. 3) For more advanced bulk copying, take a look at the BulkEdit plugin. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Just out of curiosity - you mentioned region code as an example. It seems a bit unlikely that anyone would need to change region code in bulk, even if it is possible. Is that what you are trying to do, and if so, why would you need to?
I just want to make sure you don't make changes based on a misunderstanding of what region codes are used for.
And by the way, it's always prudent to take a backup of your collection before doing bulk changes. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Hey Thanks again ...... I do want to change a number of my entries to NR as a lot of these are disc I have made .... also A lot of these have been upgraded from DVD to Blu-ray ( case in point I remastered MASH from my DVD to 1080p with DTS sound and burnt them to Blu-rays) and don't really want to re-enter them ... just want to change form DVD as well. ... I have about 1500 DVD and Blu-rays ... I can't afford to re buy all my DVD's ... where I can I remaster them for myself ONLY. and yes I backup always. pyorkie |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry just to explain … I live in Australia. I have about 300 DVD region 1 that I bought early on in the piece when I had a non region DVD player. I bought from the USA because the movies were either not available for months or the versions released in Australia were inferior … eg: I bought “Aliens” from USA, it had Digital 5.1 with extra features and cost about (I think) about $14~17 … The Australian version only had Digital 5.0 and no extra features and I think it cost about $47.00. I also started to buy Blu-rays also because of the same reason. Then my player died and could only get a region coded player …. I tried to non region code it and bricked it … so then had to buy another one it was also region coded, so I now have to either pay a fortune AGAIN to get what I have already PAID for or do what I am doing now. Digital piracy was created by the the movie companies GREED. Why do Australian have to pay 4 times what it costs in the USA? Sorry I am ranting … thanks for your reply. pyorkie |

| Posted: | | | | It would have been much cheaper had you got the multi-region (Blu-ray and DVD) LASER Model BD-3000 from BigW or The Good Guys at $99.00 (AUD).
The company's web site for the product is here: https://www.laserco.com.au/audio-visual/dvd-and-blu-ray-players/BLU-BD3000-blu-ray-player-multi-region-hdmi-digital-7-1-with-lan-for-bdlive |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately, the LASER Model BD10803D is now discontinued and no stock is available: https://www.laserco.com.au/BLU-BD10803D-blu-ray-player-bd-live-hdmi-3d-3-year-warranty
There are a couple of DVD region free Blu-ray players (non-3D support and set to Region B only) from TEAC and Pioneer, but they are an inferior option compared to the multi region LASER 3000 model.
Other than that, your only option is to buy a professionally modified Blu-ray 3D player.
And don't forget the life-span of your video platform as 3D support in TVs has nearly vanished.
Good luck in your quest. |

| Posted: | | | | yeh! ... it is a bummer ....... the best 3d movie I've got is avatar ... the other movies are good but not as good. .......... what a great waste of money ... the movie companies win again. Most of the new stuff is garbage anyway. ... funny they are still bringing out movies in 3d. have you heard of the new 3d that James Cameron is developing ... no glasses ... should be interesting. Anyway thanks for the reply. pyorkie |
