Flixster Shutting Down now as well

So first its UltraViolet and now Flixster. I can see they are really trying to get away from us owning copies of movies.

I also noticed the note about Sony's DAC plant in the UK shutting down...

I could never successfully use Flixter, since they never had my full compliment of UV titles. But Movies Anywhere seems to be doing a decent job, and there is beginning to be some sort of collaboration with Amazon, although I am not sure I like that. Amazon owns enough of my life already,

I thought the video side of Flixster had shut down early last year. It never worked for me like it was supposed to. I only used the app to rate movies, that was about it. In the rare occasion I watch a digital movie, I use either Movies Anywhere or Vudu.

For the Sony plant in the UK, I read that replication had already been stopped before the closure announcement. From what I read, that plant only replicated DVDs, never Blu-ray.
